Where Diagolia could help you save time

A diagnostic often starts with scattered information: customer symptoms, fault codes, measurements and technical documentation. Bringing these together and choosing useful checks takes time before work on the vehicle begins.

Gathering the context

Diagolia organises vehicle information, symptoms, fault codes and observations in one case. This gives you a structured starting point for investigating the fault.

Cross-checking technical information

The tool compares the case information with available sources to identify leads to investigate. Vehicle context helps you interpret a fault code beyond its description alone.

Prioritising checks

Possible causes are ranked, and guided diagnostics help you organise checks according to your results. The technician performs the measurements and validates hypotheses on the vehicle.

How does the calculation work?

The calculator assumes a fixed 30-minute saving on each diagnostic you would use Diagolia for. It converts that time into hours, then values it at your hourly rate excluding VAT.

Monthly diagnostics × 30 min ÷ 60 = estimated hours saved

Estimated hours saved × hourly rate excluding VAT = value of this time

For 30 diagnostics per month, 30 minutes per case represent 15 h. At €80 per hour excluding VAT, that time is worth €1,200 excluding VAT at the workshop’s rate. This example illustrates the calculation.

The 30 minutes are an assumption selected by Diagolia. We do not yet have field measurements to establish an average time saving. Actual time varies with the case, the information available and how you use the tool.

The annual view extends the same monthly scenario over twelve months. It does not account for changes in activity or holidays.

What the value of this time means

The amount shown values the hours at the selling price of your workshop time. Time freed up could help you take on another vehicle, investigate a check further or ease the schedule. Turning it into billable work depends on demand and how the workshop is organised.

This is a theoretical value, not guaranteed profit or additional revenue. The subscription cost is not deducted. The calculation does not add assumed savings on replacement parts or workshop comebacks.

Evaluate the benefit on your own cases

During your trial, record the time spent researching information and preparing checks across several diagnostics. Keep these steps separate from repair time and waiting for parts or information.

Compare cases of similar difficulty and record the conditions of use. Repeating a fault you have already solved is not a reliable comparison: knowing the answer already speeds up the work. These observations can help you assess Diagolia’s usefulness in your workshop.

Your questions

Why use 30 minutes per diagnostic?

Diagolia uses this shared assumption to make the simulation concrete. The 30 minutes are neither an observed customer average nor a guaranteed minimum time saving.

Which diagnostics should I count?

Count the cases you would use Diagolia for, rather than every workshop visit. Routine maintenance does not necessarily involve a diagnostic case.

Does the amount represent extra billable work?

It shows the theoretical value of the time at the hourly rate entered. Additional billing requires time actually freed up and other jobs to carry out.

Does Diagolia replace a diagnostic scan tool?

Diagolia uses recorded fault codes, symptoms, measurements and observations. It complements the scan tool and supports reasoning; the technician still performs measurements and validates the diagnosis.

Which plan should I choose for my workshop?

Choose according to the diagnostic volume, features and number of users you need. Diagolia’s pricing section sets out the volumes and conditions of each plan.
